Good morning my friends! What a whirlwind of a couple weeks I have had. I recently moved out of my house that I was living in (such a blessing) to now be one step closer to the big apple. It seems like I have been dreaming for months now (since October-ish) that I was going to be living in New York City at some point this next year- I just wasn’t sure exactly when. Knowing you want to do something and then actually going through with it are two different scenarios. Knowing myself, lets just say I am a bit of a routine person. I like knowing my day, my workout, my job, and my basic agenda for the week. This doesn’t mean I don’t like being spontaneous because by all means I love adventure- but when the thought of actually picking up, leaving your “things” and moving across the country becomes reality it can be a little intimidating. Heck who am I kidding?? Extremely intimidating. It’s a little bittersweet when I think of leaving San Jose. I have worked at the same restaurant for four years now. Hard to believe, these people are like my family. I have so many regulars who are now friends and have been nothing but encouraging when it comes to the big move. Seeing the support from people who know me only from a server/customer perspective provides light at the end of the tunnel. My friends have also been super supportive reminding me that if it doesn’t workout I can always come back home. Everything always works out the way it’s supposed to, right? Most of the time if it’s not what we expect it is usually for the better. We meet the right people when the timing is right, and learn the lesson sometimes when the timing is wrong. I guess what I am getting at is that these next 2 months will be the most exciting as far as anticipation for the move. You’re never one hundred percent ready for anything- but that is the best part. Time to convince myself it will all be ok. I need let go of having control and see where life takes me! Life is all good my friends. Hope you are having a great week. =)

Go Now and Live.
I am embracing these words for some Friday inspiration. I feel like everything can seem to be going right and then all of a sudden something happens, or someone says something that might throw you off track. This can lead to questioning everything in your life: job, friends, purpose, relationships and everything in between. I know for myself writing down some key words that I am feeling when I am in contact with certain people can better help me understand whether they should be in my life- or if it’s time to move on. I read this quote the other day, “If you’re brave to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.” It’s interesting how people can flow in an out of your life to teach you a little something. Sometimes you are rewarded with amazing friends who are unconditional and other times you gain everything that is needed from that person and move forward. Just know we all go through this from time to time! I am so ready for a new year and the new possibilities that lie ahead. Life is about learning and if you don’t choose to listen and learn…..it will teach you again and again! ( I am guilty of this!) “Keep your heart open, your head high and your spirit free.”
Hope you are having a fabulous Friday!

A New Month to THINK BIG!
Where will you be 5 years from today? The best day of your life is the day on which you decide life is your own. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift of life is yours, it is an amazing journey, and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. Life is about the choices you make- choose wisely.
Start by choose the two most important “guiding stars”- your VALUES and your MISSION.
Your Values are personal choices you make about what’s important to you. This brings immense satisfaction and meaning to life. (Family, Friendship, Health, Wealth, Learning, Career, Community, Faith, Integrity, Adventure, Love etc.)
Your Mission is when you “dedicate your life to a cause greater than yourself, and your life will become glorious romance and adventure.” – Mark Douglas
Write your personal Mission Statement: There is no specific format, but keep it clear, brief and exciting. Ask yourself, “What is my calling, my life’s aim? What inspires me the most? What activity or service is my core values urging me to pursue?
A GOAL IS A DREAM SET TO PAPER, DON’T JUST THINK IT- INK IT!
Some people spend all their lives on a boring little island called the “Someday Isle.” Someday, I’ll hike in Nepal. Someday I’ll have a great adventure.” Life is not a dress rehearsal. Life is HERE and it is NOW! Reach out and seize it, you deserve it!
Assignment:
List five things you’ve been procrastinating about and plan to take at least of bit of action on all 5 this week! Ready, Set, GO!
You will NEVER have more time than you do right now.
Feeling A Bit Grateful.
I am feeling a bit grateful this Tuesday afternoon. A member of my family passed away yesterday morning. I think each time someone special in our life passes, it is a constant reminder to really appreciate what we have NOW instead of thinking we are going to attain that happy place eventually. It is important to remember that life is precious, and any of us could be gone at any second! I once was told to keep a gratitude journal and write down 5 things a day you were grateful for; whether it be someone smiling at you and making your day, that you have an amazing best friend, or that you had an awesome encounter with a stranger. The goal of this journal is to look back during discouraged times (as we are all faced with) and reflect that life isn’t so bad after all. Smile and be thankful. Life is what YOU make it.
